Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”, “Terms and Conditions”) carefully before using the http://www.KissingGateFarm.co.uk website operated by Kissing Gate Farm (“us”, “we”, or “our”).

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.

  1. Payments

1.1 Payment may be made by the methods indicated in our payment options, a delivery charge will be applied at checkout.

1.2 We accept payments by Paypal as well as all the major credit/debit cards.

  1. Postage

2.1 Following receipt and clearance of payment, your product will be dispatched within two/three working days.

(a) Hatching eggs – using Royal Mail 24 Tracked or Special Delivery through Monday to Thursday.

(b) Other not perishable items – using 2st Class

2.2 We are posting only to UK addresses.

2.3 Incorrect Address – You are responsible for entering your full postal address correctly and selecting it on each order. Kissing Gate Farm takes no responsibility for missing items that have been sent to an incorrect, old or inaccurate address.

  1. Delivery

3.1 We can offer local delivery of livestock, email us for more details and to make an order.

  1. Collection

4.1 If you have opted to collect your goods and they are in stock they can be collected when you book your appointment.

4.2 Livestock ordered must be collected within 7 days of order completion otherwise livestock will be offered up for resale.

4.3 If you are bringing your own crates/boxes allow 3 birds per square foot for transporting. Cut plenty of air holes in cardboard boxes.

  1. Return/Refund

6.1 You have the right to request a return your order at any time within 14 (fourteen) working days after the dispatch date.

6.2 Before returning any products please contact us by email or telephone.

6.3 All returns must be received in a new and unused condition to receive a full refund.

Items that cannot be returned

(a) Perishable items i.e. hatching eggs
(b) Items that have been opened/used (unless found to be faulty.)

6.4 Hatching Eggs: We do everything we can to protect fertile eggs by storing at the correct temperature and rotating them frequently.
We regularly hatch our own chicks via an our professionally calibrated incubators or a broody hen to test fertility; We only sell eggs from the breeds that are between 80% and 100% fertility rate, nevertheless we cannot guarantee that the hatching eggs will hatch, as they go through the postal system, varied incubation methods and/or nature. We have no control over what happens to them once they leave us.

Once hatching eggs leave our facility, we lose the control of how they are handled in transit.
There is always a risk that the eggs could be compromised by the postage, therefore we cannot guarantee the fertility of an egg/eggs after it has been through transit. The fertility of the eggs are guaranteed only when they are personally collected from us.

As fertile eggs are perishable, we are not able to accept cancellation/return or offer a refund, once the eggs have been dispatched.

However, if all the eggs ordered are infertile we will offer a refund for the price of the eggs minus postage costs or we will send replacement eggs for free, not including postage. To confirm all eggs are infertile we will only accept a video, sent via email or Whatsapp, on day 10-12 of incubation showing all the eggs, clearly displaying our markings, being cracked into a bowl one at a time. No refund will be given if contact has been made after day 12 of incubation or day 15 of delivery.  

 

 

6.5 Livestock: It is the customers responsibility to examine any livestock purchased before leaving our premises, we do not accept returns as this could compromise our biosecurity. Birds bred on site are reared in bio secure sheds, the public are not allowed in these sheds. Once birds leave our premises, we will not accept returns. We do not offer a re-homing service.

6.6 Return postage is the responsibility of the sender.

Kissing Gate Farm reserves the right, to modify Terms and Conditions at any time.
